Looks like the weather is finally making a change. After all the rain and wind we have had in recent weeks, we are all looking forward to a great weekend, full of sunshine!! We are planning to set sail tomorrow morning at 7:00 a.m for fluke followed by squid fishing tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. And that will be the schedule right throught the weekend. Although fluke fishing on the last few outings was only fair, it does appear to be getting better with each trip. Keep in mind some years we haven’t even been able to start this early. So really the fishing is about where it should be for this time of the year and with the weather that is on tap for the next few days, fishing will hopefully make an upward turn more quickly. No fluke trip tomorrow Wednesday May 16th. According to the forecast, after tomorrow we have a nice stretch of good weather. Let’s hope so. I think we have all had enough of the dismal, rainy weather.

Monday May 14th

Capt. Mike sailed today with a very small group of anglers. Just an “okay” day of fishing reports Capt. Mike. One angler did manage to catch himself 5 keepers. And a few others scattered around the boat. A modest amount of throwbacks to keep you busy during the day. No trip tomorrow, Tuesday may 15th due to the weather. Give us a call if interested in Wed. outing.

Capt. Mike reported some much better fluking today with more than twice the amount of keepers of yesterday and plenty of shorts to keep things rolling right along until the tide change later in the day. Sizes to 5lbs. Some pics showcasing angler hi lights today courtesy Capt. Mike.

There is no squid trip this evening. Next squid trip is set to sail for Wednesday May 16th at 7pm with Capt. Ray.

Sunday Morning Mother’s Day Fluke Update, May 13th 2012

Capt. Mike just called in to say that so far things were going much better today on the fluke boat with double the amount of keepers already over yesterday and three times the number of shorts. Sounds like they are chipping away! Horray! Full report will be available later today or this evening. Next fluke outing is set for tomorrow morning at 7am with Capt. Mike on the Gail Frances.

Capt. Cory reported that the squid fishing was slow again last night. Should there be enough interest for tonight’s outing we will try again with the reservation deadline at 4pm. Anglers had a great spirit however as showcased by a pic sent courtesy of first mate Troy.

Capt. Mike is out again today in the beautiful Mother’s Day Weather so a fresh fluke report should be available later this evening.

Last but certainly not least, the Frances Fleet would like to wish all Moms out there a very HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!

Fluke Fishing Report for Saturday May 12th 2012

Capt. Mike called in to say the fluking was on the slow side today. Some nice fluke were caught with the biggest around 4lbs and some shorts for some action but all in all not quite the level that had been hoped for. Tomorrow is another day and Capt.
