Monthly Archives: April 2018

Saturday Apr 28th

Captain Matt called in to report a slower day on the cod grounds. You could not ask for a nice spring day on the water. The strong moon tides did make fishing on the tough side. A hand full of keepers and some cunners rounded out the catching. There will be no trip tomorrow but we are planning for Monday. Reservations are required for cod fishing trips.

Sunday Apr 22nd

Captain Matt reported a better day on the local cod grounds. He took a longer ride and there was a few fish waiting for us. Nearly 20 keeper cod and more then that in shorts came over the rail. This is greatly improved fishing then we have seen in months. Some cunners and ling in the mix as well.  We are hopeful that things are turning around. It looks like out next trip will be on Friday at 7IMG_1007 IMG_1009 IMG_1010 IMG_1008 IMG_1006am.

Saturday Apr 21

The boat is finally back out and we are looking forward to what they will catch. Tomorrow and Mondays weather looks great and we will be sailing at 7am.

The boat sailed this morning with a very light group of anglers eager to get back out on the cod grounds. As everyone knows the weather has been down right terrible for the last 3 months. We found a few fish on a wreck on the first drop and things looked promising. We tried a few other spots but the life just wasn’t there. We did mark some more bait but nothing under. We will be out on the grounds tomorrow and going to focus on some more wrecks to try and get a better catch together.

Wednesday Apr 11th

We are going to reschedule the offshore trip for April 20th leaving at 10pm and returning April 21st. We have had quite a bit of interest in this trip and should book up quickly. Call the office and book your spot before it is to late.
