Friday November 30th

Captain Rich reported a very good day on the full day sea bass boat. We had another great showing of haddock, sea bass, ling and cod today. The weather was perfect and rods stayed bent from the first whistle to the final three. Over 100 keeper haddock were boat with close to double that in ling mixed in. It was a very good day over all. Biggest cod on the way was around 10 pounds. We will be sailing tomorrow morning and it will be busy please be here early!

 

Captain Mike reported a good started to the morning on the blackfish grounds. The first drop was the best and slowly died from there. We had afew zero and some drops of all shorts. Captain Mike said he is going to work the grounds close to home and hope to find plenty of bigger white chinners.

Saturday November 23rd

Captain Rich reported a very good day on the full day sea bass boat. We had something we have not seen in years. Over 80 keeper haddock were boated!! This year we have been seeing 1 -2 a week maybe but no where close to these numbers!!! We also had a full limit of nice keeper sea bass to 5 pounds. We will have no trip on sunday and Monday does look iffy.

 

Captain Matt reported a slower day on the full day blackfish boat.We had lots of action but the keepers were on the slower side. High hooks left with close to limits while others caught 30 shorts before there first keeper.  We had some busy drops and some zeros .We will have no trip Sunday and Monday looks iffy.

 

Always call the office before you come down. We would have to have people drive down for nothing.

Friday November 23rd

Captain Matt reported a good pick on the blackfish grounds. Many people left with easy limits of nice white chinners. Biggest fish on the day was over 8 pounds with many other nice fish in the 5-7 pound range.A few less shorts on the wrecks but still plenty to keep it busy. Sailing tomorrow morning 6am.

 

First mate Cole reported a decent day on the grounds. We took the shorter ride to south of the island and found some good action. Many sea bass limits but some did not fair as well. More cod then we have been seeing, but still way off from what we would like. IN the next few weeks we hope the jig bite moves in and really get those numbers up.

Tuesday November 21st

Captain Matt reported a decent day despite the weather on the local tog grounds. We worked a few wrecks close to home and found some nice fish before the weather turned even worse. High hooks left with limits with other only being a few behind. Biggest fish on the day was 9 pounds with another half dozen over 7. No trip tomorrow but we will have both boats on Friday at 6am.

Tuesday November 20th

Captain Mike reported a much improved day on todays 50/50 trip. We stayed closed to home and worked some smaller pieces and found some good sized tog. We had 4 fish in the 10 pound range battle it out today. Biggest fish on the day was just over 11 pounds. Many limits around the boat. We will be sailing tomorrow morning for blackfish.

 

NO cod boat tomorrow.

Monday November 19th

We still have a few spots left on tomorrows 50/50 trip. This trip will be sailing at 5am and will be 100$ for the ticket and 100$ for the pool. The pool is mandatory. This will be the only blackfish trip tomorrow. We will have our normal schedule back on Wednesday.

 

Captain Rich reported an OK day on the sea bass grounds. Anglers leaving with limits but not everyone. Some nice cod in the mix but overall not the numbers we would like to see. It was slower then the last 2 trips but there was lots of signs of life but no chew. Next trip is scedhuled for Wednday at 6am

 

Captain Mike reported alot of searching around today for a decent pile of fish. We took the ride back to the east in hopes the water had cleared but it had not. We worked around pile to pile and found a few but never a solid chew. Tomorrow is the 50/50 trip and Mikes has a list of spots to try and find the monsters.

Sunday November 18th

Captain Matt reported a much better day on the full day blackfish grounds. The water cleared up and it was back to normal. High hooks left with limits and other were only a few off. Biggest fish was around 9 pounds. We will be sailing tomorrow morning at 6am.

 

Captain Rich reported a decent day on the sea bass. Not as lock and load as Monday but good catches all around. Nearly everyone left with a limit of bombers. We had another true mixed bag day with cod, sea bass, scup, perch, bluefish, weakfish, pollock and even 4 haddock!!  The weather was perfect and tomorrow looks just as nice. Sailing at 6am.

Saturday November 17th

We will have both boats sailing tomorrow morning at 6am.

 

Captain Mike reported a slower start to the day on the blackfish grounds. We took the ride down to the east and was met with some less then ideal water conditions. We did some back tacking and found some much cleaner water closer to home. We were able to grind out some fish towards the end of the day but it was slower then we like to see.Tomorrow is another beautiful day and we will be sailing .

 

People have been calling and asking at the ticket counter when we are going to be doing our special blackfish trips. On Tuesday Nov. 20th we will be a 50/50 trip due to popular demand. This trip will be 5am to 5pm and the cost is 100$. There will be a 100$  mandatory cash pool collected at the dock. This trip will have limited space and will sell out fast. Call the office or book online. We still have a some spots left on this trip.

Only one boat tomorrow for blackifsh at 6am,
