Saturday Aug 31st

Captain Rich reported a much improved day on the fullday fluke boat. We had a great drift all day and were able to capitalize on it. We had all the sea bass you could catch as well as jumbo scup. The fluke  were very aggressive today as well. Many anglers are leaving with limits of fluke and sea bass. Tomorrow there is an increase in the sea bass bag limit to 7 fish per person. Captain George reported a slower morning on the half day boat. We had next to no drift and they fish were not hungry. We picked away on a few keeper sea bass and scup. The afternoon did see better fishing. We will have both trips tomorrow and Monday. Monday will be the last days for half days for the summer.

Friday Aug 30th

Captain Mike reported a very good morning on the half day fluke baot. We had a light group of anglers who put a hurting on the sea bass. We had a full limit of sea bass to 5 pounds. The afternoon saw slower action with the wind picking up and a very fast drift. We will have both trips tomorrow. Please make reservation online.

 

Captain Rich reported a tough day on the fluke grounds. We had wind against tide fro alot of the day which is always makes for a tough day. We had plenty of sea bass and scup but the fluke kept a low profile. High hook had 4 keeper fluke and limit of sea bass. We will be back at it tomorrow at 7am.

Thursday Aug 29th

Captain Rich called in a better day on the full day grounds. It was a late but and we but the extra time in to make sure people went home with full coolers. The scup and sea bass have invaded the grounds and are jumping on the baits before the fluke. The last hour did see the best fluke fishing. Full limit of sea bass and around 40 fluke. We will be fishing the next few days and the weather looks nice.

Wednesday Aug 28th

Captain Matt reported a very tough day on the full day fluke boat. We sailed with a light group who didnt mind a little rain. Well we had alot of rain and alot of wind to deal with. The fish just didnt wanna chew or just didnt wanna chase the baits. A few anglers went home with some fish but it was one of the slowest fluke days in weeks. Tomorrow is another day and we will give it another go.

Tuesday Aug 27th

Captain Matt reported a decent day after the blow. We had a swell to deal with for most of the day but the water wasnt to dirty and the fish were hungry. High hooks left with limit catches of fluke to 8 pounds. We had a sea bass limit to 5 pounds as well. Everything seemed to work today but the bucktails and gulps did do the best. We will be sailing tomorrow morning at 7am

 

Captain Mike reported a decent morning on the half day trip. The swell let go and we managed to put a good catch together. We had a mixed bag of fluke, sea bass scup, chubs and even 2 bonitos. People left with limit catches of sea bass to 4 pounds.  We will have both trips tomorrow at 8am and 1pm

Monday Aug 26th

After a long weekend of heavy northeast winds we will be back to our normal sailing schedule.

 

Captain Mike reported decent fishing on the half day trips. We had the wind and some seas left over but the fish were hungry. A good showing of sea bass and a fluke here or there rounded out the catch today. Both half day tomorrow as well as the full day

Sunday Aug 25th

There will be no marathon trip tomorrow. Only the 2 half day trips on the Gail Frances

 

Captain Mike reported tough conditions on the half day trips. The morning saw a good turn out but tough fishing. A mixed bag of fish but not alot of keepers. The afternoon had better action but still on the slower side. Tomorrow is another day and we will try both trips at 8am and 1pm

Saturday Aug 24th

NO FULL DAY TOMORROW WITH THE HEAVY NORTHEAST.!!!! WE WILL ONLY HAVE THE HALF DAY!!

 

Captain Rich reported a solid day on the full day fluke baot. We had some sloppy weather in the morning but it died out and we managed to pick away. Some anglers did well and some anglers caused a seen watching others catch. High hooks left with limit catches to 8 pounds. Many sea bass around with limits around the boat. There will be no trip tomorrow at 7am

 

Friday Aug 23rd

We are keeping a close eye on all trips from Saturday afternoon onways. We will be posting if we have anything cancelled due to the weather.

 

Sunday Cod trip is cancelled.

 

Captain Rich reported a decent day on the full day fluke grounds. We picked away at some nice fish but it was still slower then the beginning of the week.  A few limit catches around the boat. Everyone seemed to go home with a few fluke Sea bass were still around to keep rods bent between keepers. We will be back sailing tomorrow morning at 7am

 

Captain Mike reported tough fishing on the half day trips. The ground swell close to home seems to have stirred up the bottom and the fish were just  hunkering down. We picked a few keepers on each trip. We will only have the morning tomorrow for the half day from 8am to noon.

Thursday Aug 22nd

Captain rich reported an Ok day on the fluke grounds. We had zero drift all day long despite the wind. We never had had more then a .2 drift until 230. We did the best with what we had. High hooks still left with limit catches of fluke and sea bass. biggest fluke on the day was close to 8 pounds and biggest sea bass was a solid 4.5. We will be back at it tomorrow at 7am.
