Monday September 30th

There is no trip tomorrow and we are keeping an eye on Wednesdays weather.

 

Captain Mike reported a good day on the full day grounds. We had some wind in the morning we had to deal with but by days end it was very nice out. We picked away on scup and sea bass all trip. We had a good showing of cod fish with 3 fish over 10 pounds and the pool being a solid 25lbs. The dog fish didnt seem to bother us today with only a few here and there. Next trip is slated for Wednesday weather permitting.

Monday September 30th Tuna

There will be not trips during the week for tuna due to the weather. Our next trip will be on Saturday morning

 

Captain Matt reported a banner tuna trip. We took the long ride and it paid off big time. We picked away on a few fish on the troll up to 75 pounds. Once we threw the hook for the night we had 6 fish on right away. There was fish on both bait and jigs. We did hook up to one sword fish but it was lost boat side due to tangles. We picked away on a fish fish during the night. We had 3 other swords on landing one around 90lbs. Around 5am someone range the dinner bell and it was an all out blitz. We boated 30 yellowfin in under an hour. High hook on the jig had 6 fish. Louis from Ct managed 5 nice yellows as well.  Everyone went home with nice bags of tuna loins. We will be back out on Saturday.

Sunday September 29th

Captain Matt called in a quick reported saying it was  a banner tuna trip. 45 yellow fins and swords!! more details to come once they get done cutting.

 

Captain Chris reported a decent cod trip. Another great day of catching with coolers and buckets full. The cod hid a little bit but we still managed some nice keepers. hubcap scup and knob head sea bass. It was a very busy catching day. We will be back at it tomorrow at 7am

Saturday September 28th

Captain Mike reported a very busy day on the full day boat. The scup and sea bass were out in force today. Anglers who targeted the scup had full buckets of hubcaps. The sea bass were on the nicer side with many fish in the 3-5lb range. Around a dozen cod to the low teens rounded out the catch. We will be back at it tomorrow at 7am.

Friday September 27th

The weekend tuna trip is a go. We will be leaving early on Saturday. The fish have been much further out and we want to get a head start to the grounds. We will be sailing at 3am on saturday morning. The office will be open. The weather is some of the best we have had all yeah with winds 5-10 and seas 2ft. it doesnt get nicer then this. We still have room so dont be left at the dock

 

 

Captain Greg reported a much improved day on the cod grounds. We look the long ride but it paid off. Some quality cod in to the low teens. Many many sea bass limits around the boat and all the scup you could want. Both jigs and bait worked well but those who stuck it out with bait had more to fish to show for it but less cod. We will be back at it tomorrow at 7am

Thursday September 26th

We will be sailing tomorrow morning at 7am for cod, sea bass and scup. The office will open at 530 for ticket and tackles

 

The weekend tuna trip is a go. We will be leaving early on Saturday. The fish have been much further out and we want to get a head start to the grounds. We will be sailing at 3am on saturday morning. Wednesday September 25th

Captain Matt reported a very tough day on the tuna trip. We sailed with a light group of anglers because fishing has been so good. We picked away on mahi on the troll and everything looks like it would be very productive. Nice weedline, 3 degree temp break and skipjacks around. The squid were attacking baits all night and could not get a bit going. We had a few mahi in the morning but overall it was slow. Next trip will be Saturday.

 

 

Captain MIke reported a tough day on the full day boat. We had a stiff wind when leaving the dock and a good sea on for the whole day. The water was on the dirty wide from the wind of the last 3 days. We picked away on some scup and sea bass and a hand full of cod. But over all it was on the slower side. We will back at Friday morning at 7am.

Sunday September 22

The long range tuna trip on Monday has been modified. We will be dropping Monday with the weather and leaving Tuesday Am at 7am for a normal overnight.

Captain Matt reported a slower trip  on the weekend tuna trip. We picked away on some yellowfin and mahi. We had some on the troll as well as the chnk. We managed 1 sword around 80lbs as well. We still have room on all trips.

 

Captain rich reported a much better cod trip today. We had great weather in the morning before the afternoon wind. We had over 40 cod to 20lbs. Sea bass to 5 pounds and scup to 3lbs. There was plenty of life all trip long. No trip tomorrow with the wind. Also please note the cod schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Friday-Sunday. No Tuesday or Thursday.

Saturday September 21st

The long range tuna trip on Monday has been modified. We will be dropping Monday with the weather and leaving Tuesday Am at 7am for a normal overnight.

 

Captain Rich reported a decent day on on the full day cod boat. We sailed with a light crowd for our fall cod season opener. We had a good showing of fish all day long. We had cod, sea bass and scup. Biggest cod was in the low teens. The water was still very dirty. Tomorrow should be better with the cleaning water
