Details are just starting to emerge from the 7 am full day boat of 3 very big fish on board between 11 and 13 lbs!! Capt. Chris commented that the word for today was “quality”. Many of the keepers today were between 4 and 7 pounds. There were about a half dozen limit catches but the fluke were not as spread out around the boat as we would have liked. A decent amount of sea bass including a few sea bass limits. One stop produced a lot of short fluke. One big gator size blue fish in the low teens and that was about it for today around Block Island. Capt. Rich will set sail tomorrow morning at 7 am aboard the Gail Frances.
Capt. Matt reported good fishing this morning for a skeleton crew of fishers aboard the Lady Frances. A nice shot of fluke to 4 lbs and a lot of nice size sea bass pleased fishers. Everyone went home with some fish!
The afternoon half day produced a few fish both fluke and sea bass but the weather change by the afternoon slowed the fishing.
Just one half day trip tomorrow, Friday July 14th at 8 am aboard the Lady Frances.
