ANOTHER EXTRAORDINARY WHALE WATCH TODAY WITH AGAIN DOZENS OF FINBACK AND MINKE WHALES VORACIOUSLY FEEDING ON VAST SHOALS OF SAND EELS SOUTH OF BLOCK ISLAND!! PLENTY OF ROOM ON TOMORROW’S TRIP, CALL THE OFFICE TO RESERVE!

Capt. Rich reported an excellent day of fluke fishing! A near full boat limit (just a few fish shy) so therefore many limit catches around the boat. Sizes impressive again with many of the fish 4 lbs and up with the best of the lot just a shade under ten pounds. Some nice sea bass and big blue fish mixed in with the fluke as well. A definite sign of improvement in the fishery over the past few days! Dave and Ken from NJ for example easily limited out today on all jumbo fluke including fish of just under ten pounds, 8.5, 7.5,7 lbs and so on. Capt. Rich reports the waters around Block Island teeming with life these days, just chock full of squid and sand eels. We are back out it again tomorrow with Capt. Rich at the helm at 7 am aboard the Gail Frances.

The morning half day was reported to be excellent fishing for sea bass along with a nice shot of keeper fluke. Plenty of limit catches on the sea bass pleasing patrons today. For the most part the half day fishing has been fantastic the past two weeks or so. Just one half day trip tomorrow at 8 am tomorrow, Saturday July 15th.

The Andy Thompson charter today found great fishing for sea bass to 4 lbs and some nice fluke as well. Andy has fished with us for many years and we appreciate his loyalty. Some availability for charters going forward, just call the office to speak with Tammy Roger or Cory for further booking details.
