ANOTHER NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC SPECIAL ABOARD THE LADY FRANCES TODAY SOUTH OF BLOCK ISLAND ON THE WHALE WATCH!! FIN BACK AND HUMPBACK WHALES ALONG WITH BOTTLE NOSE DOLPHIN AND TONS OF BAIT BIRDS!! NEXT WHALE WATCH SETS SAIL TUESDAY AT 1PM!!

Capt. Rich reported a very good day of fluke fishing around Block Island. There were quite a few limit catches and the fish again were quality slabs with the majority in the 5-8 lb range. A bunch of fish a bit bigger up to nearly 9 lbs fought it out for bragging rights. Tom had an easy limit of big fluke and sea bass using his home made rigs and Tom’s four fish limit catch weighed in at 30 lbs!! That is a very impressive average! Will and Rodney from CT who fish with Tom all easily limited out as well with jumbo fluke as did many of our regular Saturday customers. Decent numbers of sea bass and a bunch of sea bass limits as well as a few good size blue fish complimented the great catch of jumbo fluke. A couple of great pictures showcasing a few angler hi lights provided courtesy of longtime regular customer and exceptional rod handler Tom Lombardi. Great weather on tap to try and do it again tomorrow as the Gail Frances will set sail at 7 am with Capt. Rich at the helm.
