Capt. Matt reported an exciting night of night time fishing aboard the Lady Frances last night. Out of seemingly nowhere the alligator blues showed up bolstering the level of busy into the stratosphere! At least a couple dozen teen size gators made it aboard and many more won the ultimate battle. Nice to see these big blue fish show up after a seemingly eternal absence. A handful of big bass with most in the 20-30 lb range. We are sold out tonight but plenty of room next week on trips Wednesday through Saturday Nights at 7 pm. Please call the office or book on line to make a reservation.
The afternoon half day was much better than the morning. In fact in one drop one angler limited out on fluke in four successive drops!!! The gentleman also limited out on good size sea bass. Two half days tomorrow with the first at 8 am and the second at 1 pm, both aboard the Lady Frances.
The RISA charter also found the fishing to be good for sea bass this morning with a modest amount of keeper fluke mixed in. Hi hook honors went to Barry and Diane. Call the office to check on the availability of private charters going forward this summer.
Hi hook on the full day managed an easy limit. The fisher also caught many throwbacks. His secret was gulp jigged on a pink jigging world jig head with no bait. In general first mate Connor reported a lot of quality fluke in the 4 to 6 lb range with two 7 lb plus fish battling it out for bragging rights. There were some nice sea bass. Not too bad considering there was little to no drift but overall numbers were not enough to evenly spread around for the big number of fluke and sea bass enthusiasts who joined us today. Maybe the weather was just too nice! Capt. Rich will set sail tomorrow at 7 am aboard the Gail Frances.
