Friday October 6th

Capt. Rich reported a gorgeous day on the water but the cod bite was more finicky for whatever reason. They did chip away at some keepers but not like Wednesday. For the first time in a long time there was a fair amount of short cod. Lots and lots of super size scup, some ocean perch and a few good size sea flounder and one nice green bonito. A special shout out to longtime regular Mike M from Providence who’s grandson Evan caught his first ever cod fish, a fine keeper at that ! Way to go Evan! Tomorrow looks fine for cod fishing but we will be watching Sunday’s weather. Capt. Rich will set sail at 7 am tomorrow aboard the Gail Frances.
