Capt Mike reported a slow day on the Tautog trip. Water is still a little warm for that species. But nonetheless, a few keepers still managed to get into the boat. And enough throwback tautog to keep anglers busy throughout the day.
Capt Richie reported a very productive day on the cod boat. A good number of cod were caught, with the biggest around 15-20 lbs. All the jumbo scup that anyone wanted. We had more than a limit of seabass on the boat but unfortunately they had to be thrown back to be caught another day. That season opens again this coming Sunday 10/22. A couple keeper fluke today and a bluefish or two rounded out the catch.
No Tautog trip tomorrow, Thursday October 19th. Our next trips will be Friday October 20th. Both the cod trip and the Tautog trip. Both boats sail at 6:00 a.m. Friday morning.
