Captain Matt reported some highs and lows on today cod marathon. The morning did the the best action but it was over nearly as soon as it started. He bounced around place to place but never got another good bite going. In the end Matt steamed inshore and found a pile of sea bass to work on. A few cod fish, about 50 ling and a limit of sea bass rounded out the trip. We are still very hopeful for the coming weeks.
Captain Matt will be at the helm of tomorrows Monday Marathon fluke trip.
Captain Rich reported very tough fluke fishing but good sea bass fishing. Only a small handful of fluke came over the rails as todays conditions turned to sloppy by days end. Biggest fluke on the day was around 6 pounds. There will be no full day trip tomorrow.
