Captain Matt reported a very good day overall. The morning started out very sloppy but got nicer as the day went along. We had a very good turn out with people who really wanted get in on this amazing fishing. The morning started out slower on the fluke but the sea bass were hungry. The fluke bite was on the slower side until noon when it broke wide open. The last few drifts were savage with 50 fish per drift coming over the rail. We ended the day with around 200 fluke, 200 sea bass and a pile of hubcap scup. Pool fish was around 8 pounds. Plenty of fish in the 5-7 pound range. We will be sailing tomorrow morning at 7am.
Captain Mike reported slower morning on the half day boat. Only a small handful of fish came over the rail with the slow drift and the ground swell. The afternoon did see a faster drift and much improved fishing. We will be sailing tomorrow morning at 8am and 1pm.
