Due to overwhelming demand we will be starting our daily cod trips 2 weeks earlier. Effective immediately we will be sailing daily at 6am for codfish and sea bass. We will have another week of blackfish but with reduced days. We will have Wed, Fri- Sunday. IT is always best to call the day before to check the weather. The forecast right now is nice weather all week.
There will be no trips tomorrow Sunday December 2nd.
Captain Rich reported another banner day on the full day cod boat. Might as well call it a haddock boat right now. This is something that is unheard of. We had bent rods all day long. Much scup in the mix today as well. High hooks had 10 haddock with just as many dropped on the way up. Everyone is leaving with nice full coolers and bags. Next trip will be on Monday.
Captain Mike reported a very good day on the blackfish grounds. The morning was on the slower side and we had thought of the season being over very early this year. Captain Mike pulled a rabbit out of his hat in the afternoon and found the motherload. Full boat limit of fine whites. Biggest fish on the day was around 9 pounds. We will be changing up our blackfish schedule as started above and the next day will be on Wednesday.
