Captain Matt reported a decent day on the Blackfish boat. We had a light crowd who really wanted to get in on some bottom of the 9th blackfishing. We didnt know what to expect with taking the week off and the water being 44 degrees. We found fish every where we tried. The morning had the best action with a decent showing of blackfish and some cod close to home. Biggest blackfish of the day was 10lbs and the biggest cod was a solid 20. We will be sailing tomorrow morning at 6am.
Captain Greg reported a good day on the cod grounds. We did not have a good showing of haddock but many more cod then we have had in weeks. We sailed with a light crowd with the cold weather. High hook had 5 cods to 12 pounds. Some good sized seabass and monster scup in the mix today. We will be sailing tomorrow morning at 6am.
