First mate Troy called in to say it was a very good day in the cod grounds. Captain Mike steamed to a new area and found the cod. The morning was a little slower to do the dogfish around but Mike made a move and the cod started coming over the rail. The bite today was mostly on the fresh clams. High hook managed a limit of nice healthy cod. There were a few other angler who also got a limit. Pool fish today was a 17lb pound pollock. This was one of 3 pollock over 15 pounds caught today.Alot of the codfish that were caught today were in the 10-15 pound range. There was also a nice pile of ling caught today as well. There was also a lot of fish in to 20-21 inch range that were released as well.
There will be no trip tomorrow. Our next scheduled trip will be on thursday but we do ask you to call the office and make a reservation.
