Captain Matt reported a good day on the full day fluke boat. The morning started off with a great drift with 60 keeper fluke coming up. The drifts after that slowed down but still chipped fish every where he went. High hook’s went home with limits of fluke. No monster slabs like we have been seeing this past week but a few 8lbs battled it out for the pool. One high light from the trip was regular Rick Belchertown catching and fight a 5 foot mako shark. The fish was hooked good in the mouth and put on a jumping show for the whole boat untill the line broke and he went on his way. Some sea bass to 5 pounds and a hand full of scup rounded out today’s catch. Captain Rich will be at the helm tomorrow at 7am.
Captain Mike reported a good morning half day trip. The first drift saw lots of bent rods but not the keepers we like to see. After a short move the larger fish started to bite. High hook went home with a limit of sea bass to 4 pounds. Some nice fluke to 4 pounds also are going home and in to the frying pan. The afternoon trip saw slower action with the faster drift. Only a handful of fluke and sea bass came over the rails. Tomorrow is another day and we will be sailing at 8am and 1pm.
