Captain Rich reported another good day on the full day fluke boat. The drift was on the slower side and the bucktail really putt a hurting on the fish. High hook had a limit of fluke. Nearly 30 fish over the 5 pound mark made it in to the coolers. Some real brutes of 9 and 10 pounds could not pass up some tasty squid strips but they were not in the pool. Mr Cin won the pool with a 8 pound fish taken on a high low set up. Some anglers also manged to catch limits of sea bass to 5 pound. Some blue fish and scup were also caught. Captain Rich reported seeing more bait around and is hoping to keep this bite going for a while. The boat will sail tomorrow morning at 7am.
Captain Matt reported a good morning half day fishing. Lots of sea bass kept the rods bending for the morning. High hook on the sea bass caught 8 keepers. Many happy faces seen around the boat. The afternoon was a different story with fluke flying over the rails. The great drift condition made for some excellent fishing. High hook had 5 keeper fluke to 6 pounds. Some nice quality sea bass in the mix as well. One high light was Matt catching a releasing a 31″ fluke to swim another day. He estimated the fish to be over 12 pounds. Both half day trips are scheduled to sail tomorrow at 8am and 1pm.
