Last night’s night fishing trip produced a bunch of blue fish but the Stripers seemed to take the night off. We try again tonight. Still plenty of room left so if interested please call the office to book a reservation.
First mate Troy reported the fluke showed up nicely again for this morning’s half day. One just never knows this season with those crazy summer flat fish!! Biggest fish of 7 lbs fell victim to a whole squid and there were a half dozen or so other good size fish in the four to six pound range according to Troy. A handful of sea bass mixed in as well. Troy reported the afternoon half day was a bit slower but a handful of nice fluke to 5 lbs and some sea bass pleased the relatively light crowd of patrons. Just one half day on tap for tomorrow with the Lady Frances set to sail at 8 am.
First mate Chris L reported a slow day on the Gail Frances. Some sea bass and good size porgies but just a few fluke and nothing of any size. There was a nice drift all day, not too fast and not too slow the fluke just did not bite. Tomorrow is a new day and Capt. Rich looks forward to setting sail at 7 am aboard the Gail Frances.
Capt. Mike reported yet another great day of Whale Watching south of Block Island. Lots of Finbacks in a couple of different areas. Still room on tomorrow’s Whale Watch scheduled at 1pm. Just tomorrow and next Tuesday for Whales and that will wind up what has been perhaps the best season in Frances Fleet history! Call the office to make a reservation for tomorrow’s outing.
