Cory just called in to report a MUCH BETTER day on the cod grounds. A nice mess of market cod with a few slightly bigger fish in the mix today including a pool fish just under 15 lbs that was taken by none other than longtime regular Lisa Loprinzo from Greenwich CT! Way to go Lisa!! There were several others around ten pounds apiece. Hi hook took home 7 nice keepers and a half dozen or so other anglers had three or more cod apiece to bring home. Anglers also had as many big scup as they wanted with sizes up to 3 lbs!! Everything was on bait today. There were also lots of big ocean perch and a few very large sea flounders up to 5 lbs!! Some pictures today provided courtesy of Cory Blount. We are still taking reservations for tomorrow’s cod trip and the weather looks great for both tomorrow and Monday’s open boat cod outing, both of which will set sail at 7am with Capt. Rich at the helm of the Gail Frances.
Capt. Ray reported the full day Cod and scup charter for the Jeff Neurath group went very well with all the super size scup to 3 lbs the anglers wanted providing non stop action and a nice sprinkling of market cod to 10 lbs. Some big ocean perch mixed in as well as a small green bonito. Everyone caught plenty of fish and enjoyed a picture perfect day on the water! For further information regarding private charters please check out the private charters section of the web site or call the office and speak to Tammy Roger or Cory for further booking details.
Capt. Ray will be setting sail on the Admiral Frances tomorrow for full day porgy fishing at 7am and returning at 3pm.
