Roger reported today’s cod trip featured some incredible spring weather with light winds and brilliant sunshine but unfortunately the results were about the same as yesterday. We took the ride out to infamous Coxes Ledge but unfortunately the water temperatures were even a bit colder out there!! There was no bite at all on Coxes Ledge. Capt. Rich put in a very long weekend working tirelessly both days to try to put customers on some fish but there just was very little bite. The last stop of the day on the way back to the dock did show the slightest bit of life with one nice keeper cod, several throwbacks and one jumbo ocean perch and a modest amount of bites. We did also see a few terns today and did mark some bait on the grounds so hopes are high that once the water temperature comes up a few more degrees that things will improve. Cod fishing for the time being is weekends only sailing Saturdays and Sundays 7am to 4pm.
