Tonight’s Night Fishing trip is a GO! We have not been out in over a week so we will have a fresh report tomorrow morning. Plenty of room still left so if interested one can just come on down to buy a ticket before the boat sails.
First mate Chris L reported a solid day of fluking aboard the Gail Frances. Mike Kwok, longtime regular customer, took the pool with a fine 7 lb slab. There was one limit catch reported and a number of anglers who boxed four to seven nice fluke apiece but it was definitely a day of the haves and have nots. Buck tail jigs were reported to be most effective. A fair number of keeper sea bass, a handful of good size scup and one blue fish. A few pics courtesy longtime regular customer Ginny Reed and deckhand Chris L. Tomorrow is a new day and Capt. Rich will set sail at 7am aboard the Gail Frances.
Sounds like it was a good day of half day fishing today. First mate Roger L reported the morning trip was successful with sea bass to nearly 6 lbs!! Some nice fluke as well to please patrons. Capt. Matt reported the afternoon trip had a nice mess of jumbo sea bass to 5 lbs with quite a few in the 3 to 4 lb range while the fluke were frequently in the 3 to 4 lb range. Most of this was on rental rod rigs although buck tails were effective as well as Anthony and Anthony Mecurio Jr managed a nice mess of good size fluke and an easy jumbo sea bass limit. Next half day sets sail tomorrow morning at 8am aboard the Lady Frances.
